Founded in 1991

Our firm was founded on 15 November 1991 by CA Sanjeeva Shetty, and practised for many years as S K Shetty & Associates. It was built on a straightforward idea: that a client should deal directly with the person who signs their work.

The statutes have changed since, several times over. We have worked through the arrival of service tax and then GST, the Companies Act, 2013, the move to electronic filing and assessment, and most recently the Income-tax Act, 2025. The way we work has not changed with them.

A partner-led practice

Every engagement we take on is led by a partner, and that partner stays with it. The person who meets you at the start is the person who understands your file and answers for the report at the end.

Our team of more than thirty brings together Chartered Accountants, Cost and Management Accountants and Company Secretaries, alongside article assistants in training and colleagues with banking experience across different functions. Between them they cover the accounting, cost and secretarial sides of a problem, and work is reviewed before it leaves our office.

How we work

Most professional disagreements are not about the law. They are about facts: what was actually done, what the documents show, and whether anyone wrote it down at the time. We would rather settle those questions early, while records are fresh and a position can still be corrected.

We keep in close contact during an engagement, not only at the end of it, and we take client feedback seriously. Where a judgement has to be made, we make it and explain it: what the position is, what the risk is, and what would change the answer.

Looking forward

Indian tax and company law have changed more in the last decade than in the two before it, and reporting has moved almost entirely onto digital systems. Our work now runs from audit and tax into cross-border matters, transfer pricing, valuation, due diligence and the structuring of new businesses, in India and from India into other countries.

We invest in the technology and the training that this demands, so that clients get the same quality of judgement on tomorrow's requirements as on today's.
